Every Legal Panel Gateway User has a unique Username and Password which they use to log in to Legal Panel Gateway.Legal Panel Gateway keeps a record of the activities and who performed them (such as changes to Matters and Contracts). A "history" of activities can be displayed.

Until now, icare has had separate legal services panels for the two workers compensation schemes under the Nominal Insurer (since May 2016) and Insurance for New South Wales (since 2013, before icare).

The whole of Australian Government legal services panel (the Panel) has been established by a competitive value for money process following an open approach to market. The Panel is managed by the Attorney General's Department and was established on 15 August 2019.

A Law Practice Panel Member may apply to Legal Aid NSW for approval for another Associate to carry out legal aid work during the term of their Service Agreement. However, an Associate must not commence legal aid work until Legal Aid NSW has provided written approval as per clause 12.2 of the panel Service Agreement.
